Q&A with Michael Yiallourides

Yiallourides graduated with his Master of Science in Prosthetics & Orthotics from University of Pittsburgh and has obtained dual ABC certification and dual New Jersey licensure as a prosthetist-orthotist. He has extensive experience treating patients of all ages and conditions in both disciplines. Yiallourides has specialized further in lower limb prosthetics/orthotics and spinal orthotics. He also works extensively with pediatrics including cerebral palsy, club foot, congenital deformities, and scoliosis.

Q&A with Dr. Neil Kaushal MD

Neil Kaushal, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon at Rutgers North Jersey Orthopedic Institute (NJOI), and an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). Dr. Kaushal completed his orthopedic surgery training at New York Medical College, where he served as administrative chief resident. His pediatric orthopedic and scoliosis fellowship was completed at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. Dr. Kaushal treats children and young adults with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including: Scoliosis, Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, Neuromuscular scoliosis, Early Onset Scoliosis, Pediatric trauma, Developmental dysplasia of the hip, Neuromuscular disorders, including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and spinal muscular atrophy Dr. Kaushal is an attending physician at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He also serves as the faculty advisor for the New Jersey Medical School orthopaedic surgery clerkship. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications, and presented at local and national conferences.

Q&A with Dr. Alice Chu

Dr. Alice Chu is Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of the Division of Pediatric Orthopaedics. She is dual fellowship trained in pediatric orthopaedics and hand surgery as well as board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Her specialty interests include pediatric upper extremity disorders and more specifically, conditions such as arthrogryposis, brachial plexus injury and cerebral palsy. In addition, she treats all pediatric orthopaedic conditions, and specializes in nonoperative management of scoliosis.
